Dr. Nawal Shaikh earned her medical degree SMIMER Univeristy in India prior to her neurology residency at Allegheny Health Network Medical Education Consortium in Pittsburgh, PA. She then completed a Neuro-oncology fellowship at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine Chicago, IL  before joining the faculty at University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2018 and then UT Southwestern University in Dallas, Texas in 2022.​  Dr. Nawal Shaikh is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the United Council of Neurologic Subspecialties Neuro Oncology

Dr. Nilofar Syed earned her medical degree at the Case Western Reserve School of Medicine in Cleveland, OH. She then completed her internship and residency training in internal medicine at Brown University in Rhode Island. She went to Cleveland Clinic to receive advanced training through a fellowship program in rheumatology.​  Dr. Nilofar Syed is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Rheumatology. She was an assistant professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center from 2014-2024. 

My medical journey began at the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine where I garnered my foundation and solidified my passion for this field. I completed my Internal Medicine Residency in my home state of Michigan at Henry Ford and fellowship training back where it all started in Kentucky at the University of Kentucky. As an endocrinologist, I specialize in a broad range of conditions, including diabetes, thyroid disorders, pituitary and adrenal issues, and bone health. I am excited to be part of a rapidly evolving field and am committed to providing patient-centered care.
