Dr. Brian Willis

Dr. Brian Willis is a hepatologist, specializing in disorders of the liver. He has over 25 years of experience in a combination of teaching, research, and patient care.  He holds both MD and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Illinois in Chicago and completed postgraduate training at Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU). Most of his professional life has been with Kaiser Permanente Northwest, but he also held a clinical position at OHSU. He first developed and then lead the Hepatology program at Kaiser for several years.  He participated in clinical research trials and taught fellows and residents in training. Areas of interest include viral and drug-induced hepatitis, fatty liver disease, and complications of cirrhosis.

Dr. Willis is originally from Spain, then grew up in the Caribbean, and moved to Washington State to attend College at Pacific Lutheran University. He currently resides in Oregon and is an avid reader, dancer, photographer, and outdoor enthusiast.
